POSITION SUMMARY: Move and distribute materials within all molding operations and perform color changes on various molding equipment. Effectively perform material handling duties and perform general warehouse tasks to support receiving, production, and shipping operations in a safe manner. The position involves operating various types of fork-trucks to complete the work. Effectively perform quality inspection and auditor duties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read, understand, and follow production order, work instructions, and visual standards.
- Assures adherence to and follows operating policies and procedures to support plant performance goals, safe work practices and product quality standards.
- Perform operator duties for manufacturing operations.
- Operate forklift safely and effectively to move product in and out of inventory locations or staging areas including pallets, gaylords and regrind materials throughout the warehouse and facility.
- Follow written or verbal instructions to ascertain materials in support of molding operations.
- Accurately complete required SAP reporting including data entry, pull lists, material returns and label printing.
- Perform bulk material receiving, staging, and returns.
- Complete required Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks as assigned.
- Effectively complete color changes for molding operations.
- Effectively perform kit changes for silicone molding operations.
- Effectively perform roll changes on label machines.
- Perform inventory transactions in the inventory management system.
- Accurately perform daily inventory counts of raw, semi-finished, and finished materials.
- Identify inventory issues and assist as needed to make corrections and improvements.
- Palletize or de-palletize materials to ensure accurate counting.
- Palletize products.
- Proper receipt and put away of materials, keeping the warehouse organized.
- Supply manufacturing with raw materials for production.
- Assist with inventory and/or cycle counting.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks and transactions as required.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Interact with company personnel regarding quality related issues.
- Establish and maintain continuity of quality related programs and/or issues between all departments and all shifts
- Assist in the issuing, coordinating, and processing of Return Authorizations and Material Rejections
- Advise/consult on quality process and procedure.
- Continuously review quality processes for improvement.
- Utilize Zontec Quality Management to monitor process performance.
- Inspect product to determine conformance to requirements.
- Utilize SAP to make movements of finished goods/components for inventory.
- Collect, organize, monitor, and report on information related to Quality Assurance functions.
- Keep a clean work area, machines / equipment and sustain 6S principles.
- Adhere to and comply with all written GMP/Safety policies and procedures.
- Attend required corporate training/meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.
REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION LEVEL:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Complete and pass required medical screening.
- Obtain and maintain a valid forklift license and LOTO certification.
- Preferred: previous experience driving fork-truck.
- Preferred: previous experience with warehouse operations.
- Preferred: previous experience using SAP/WMS software.
- Preferred: previous experience with cycle counting processes

- Intermediate math and reading.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve set performance standards.

- Ability to read and understand shipping/receiving paperwork (bill of ladings, packing lists, etc.).
- Ability to operate hand and pneumatic tools.
- Strong organization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize a busy workload.
- Ability to use measuring equipment.
- Understand and follow test procedures and work instructions.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and manufacturing processes.
- Computer skills including using and understanding SAP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiar with quality forms and documents.
- Ability to interface with all manufacturing areas.
- Ability to effectively train others.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Able to follow up and take corrective actions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk up to 90% of the shift.
- Lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to frequently carry (up to 30 feet each time) up to 25 pounds.
- Have full range of motion of the waist and neck.
- Must be able to frequently bend (to the floor), twist, climb, kneel and have unrestricted use of upper extremities and perform over-head reaching.
- Push/Pull up to 200 pounds of force.
