 Position Overview:  Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing quality systems to ensure products meet requirements. Responsible for the review, investigation, and resolution of product quality issues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support new product development in the areas of compliance, specification review, and testing.
  • Develop and implement product qualification plans for new products and changes to existing products and processes.
  • Review and approve product, packaging, and process changes.
  • Manage recurring product compliance testing.
  • Investigate and promptly resolve quality issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs as assigned.
  • Timely review of customer complaints using root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support on-site and off-site quality, sustainability, and regulatory audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 3 years experience relating to supplier quality assurance and/or consumer product complaint management

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in plastic molding, assembly, packaging, consumer products, medical devices, and regulatory requirements related to children’s products
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Ability: 

  • Exemplify values of integrity, ownership, leadership, and teamwork.

  • Strong project management skills including organizing, prioritizing, and leading multiple teams to achieve goals.

  • Working knowledge of quality methods and systems (SPC, statistics, sampling, auditing).

  • Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques including six sigma, lean, FMEA, root cause analysis, and 5 Why’s.

  • Skilled in communicating effectively (verbal, written, listening) including technical writing of policies, procedures, etc.

  • Skilled in reading, interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of gauge design.

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand/walk up to 75% of the shift and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to frequently bend and twist and have unrestricted use of upper extremities.
  • Push/Pull up to 100 pounds of force.
