This role primarily serves as support to the BlackLine Administrator, a Global Accounting tool. The support functions will include all current modules of Blackline as well as modules added as part of the strategic digital automation roadmap. This is a centralized role that supports the application and local administrators, ensuring integrity in the data and associated change process, ensuring system and manual controls are maintained and timely executed, supporting further enhancements to the tool in line with best practice and supporting the global expansion of the implementation across all entities. Other work would include assisting in different projects and other systems support focused on harmonization and automation in upstream or downstream processes. This role will also play a key role in rolling out of additional modules of Blackline.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support administration of BlackLine, primarily the Account Reconciliation Module, ICH Hub, and MJE process. Will also include other modules of Blackline based on strategic direction
  • Data consistency and alignment with SAP or other ERPs
  • Ensures assignees of preparer, approver and reviewer are correct and that all accounts are assigned to the users and respective teams
  • Adds new accounts to account groups, creating or deleting groups as applicable
  • Reviews and approves user access, removal and change requests
  • Ensures requests are reasonable and where applicable, in line with roles and responsibilities of the respective user
  • Supports the user community acting as the BlackLine Subject Matter Expert for BlackLine functionality questions and issues
  • Ensures governance is maintained and associated documentation is maintained or created where not in place
  • Assist with implementations following robust testing in the Sandbox environment
  • Works with Internal Controls (audit) to identity risk and confirm effectiveness of controls to mitigate risk
  • Develop collaborative relationships with business unit users to understand improvement opportunities as well and areas of standardization within and between business units and functions
  • Supports the roll out and further expansion of BlackLine across entities in terms of project planning, data set up, end user communication, and training
  • Supports carve outs of reconciliations related to divested businesses using BlackLine
  • Preform other Financial system administration as the role and strategic direction expand

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience in financial systems or accounting procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Information System/Finance/Accounting
  • Understanding from an administrative perspective of the Account Reconciliations and other BlackLine modules is preferred
  • Hands on accounting and/or General Ledger management, systems or related experience preferably in a Shared Service or Global Business Services environment
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and HFM is preferred
  • Experience building dashboard, KPIs using platforms such as Alteryx, Power BI and/or Tableau is preferred
  • Strong background and understanding of GAAP accounting and reporting Experience in service-oriented or shared services finance organization is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Self-starter with ability to lead multiple complex assignments, prioritize work and follow through
  • Strong business acumen
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, managing spreadsheets and using advanced formulas and/or Macros
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; critical thinking
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to effectively communicate with various levels of a matrix organization
  • Travel could be required for training or meetings (1 or 2 per year) 

Salary range for this position is $80K-$95K based on experience.
