Job Summary:

As a member of Newell’s Technical Apparel Leadership Team, this position will facilitate deployment and execution of Continuous Improvement (CI), Productivity and Lean strategy, System Expertise within SAP WM (Warehouse Management System) and WES (Warehouse Execution System).   Achieve objective performance results through capability building, coaching, and deployment of Newell’s Lean Programs, System integrations. This position will report directly to the site leader and will support all levels of leadership in the facility.

 

Job Duties:

      LEAN

  • Support Site leader with management of Newell’s Lean program (PEAK)
  • Develop and execute productivity initiatives throughout the facility according to set targets
  • Assure CI plans are linked to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), goals and annual productivity targets
  • Identify opportunities to drive improved efficiency and productivity as well as lead the development and execution of implementation plans
  • Ensure proper utilization of facilities, people, equipment, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Build KPI dashboards and performance data analysis determining ROI and project savings
  • Be a relentless driver of results
  • Coach and facilitate the leadership team through the integration of CI methods and strategy according to Newell’s programs
  • Select, coach & train “champions” for Newell’s Performance, Engagement, Achievement, and Knowledge (PEAK) continuous improvement methodology.
  • Teach and support the teams in using DMAIC problem solving tools
  • Network with other Newell leaders to learn and share “Best Practices”
  • Assures compliance with Newell corporate governance, appropriate laws, and regulation

 

   System Expert

  • Training, communication and change management
  • Conduct training sessions for new users, Re-train users, reinforce organizational policies and highlight improvements to the system
  • Understand and communicate the impact of changes to the processes and system
  • Provide 1st level end-user support
  • Submit Service Dest tickets for issues and change requests
  • Help identify and resolve process inefficiencies
  • Focus on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
  • Test configuration and program changes to ensure functionality meets site requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years TPM, Lean, Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management
  • Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in distribution center
  • Demonstrated experience leading productivity improvements and/or cost savings projects
  • Lean, TPM, and/or Six Sigma experience
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
  • ERP and WM experience is a plus, preferably SAP and PKMS
