Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Indirect Sourcing will collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing strategies across indirect spend categories. This role requires a solid engineering or automation background and a deep understanding of the complexities inherent in manufacturing and distribution environments. The individual will ensure adherence to contracting and purchasing policies, maintaining thorough documentation to support compliance and decision-making.
In addition to driving savings and efficiency, this leader will emphasize preferred supplier utilization, supplier rationalization, working capital improvement, and supplier performance enhancements. The role also entails supporting automation, capital projects, and operational requirements across all facilities globally.

General Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans tailored to the needs of supply chain and manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for productivity, service, and innovation.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to optimize cost and value within indirect spend categories.
- Drive sourcing strategies that prioritize reliability, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
- Foster continuous improvement in supplier relationships to support manufacturing excellence and operational agility.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Work collaboratively with internal leaders, including legal and category managers, to define and negotiate contract terms for critical services and projects.
- Ensure compliance with company contracting and procurement policies, maintaining thorough documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Lead a team of sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Stakeholder Communications
- Engage with manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders to address day-to-day sourcing needs and strategic objectives.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on priorities and project timelines to ensure timely delivery and implementation of sourcing initiatives.
- Utilize procurement tools such as Ariba to streamline bidding processes, manage contracts, and enhance cost savings.
- Negotiate with vendors for best total cost
- Maintain productivity tracking
Leadership & Management
- Lead a team of Sourcing professionals which may include Category Managers, Associate Managers, Analysts, MDPs, and Interns.
- Oversight and execution of strategic projects.
Global Processes and P2P
- Champion the adoption of global sourcing processes and tools, including the Ariba Strategic Sourcing Suite, to enhance procurement efficiency and transparency.
- Recommend process improvements to align sourcing practices with best-in-class standards and organizational objectives.
- Oversee tactical buying activities to achieve productivity goals, improve payment terms, and reduce supplier tail spend. Maintain and report on productivity metrics, driving continuous improvement in sourcing operations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field
- Previous Team Management experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with projects
- 5-10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and distribution environments.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills – additional languages a plus

- Ability to travel as needed. Travel expectation up to 30%.
