- Apply senior-level expertise in color grading, sound mixing, compositing, motion graphics, and finishing to elevate video quality and effectiveness.
- Manage complex video formats, versions, and editing workflows while maintaining organized project files and meeting agreed production timelines.
- Creative Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Studio creative, Design, Brand, cinematography, production, and post-production teams to translate approved concepts into executable video solutions that support broader brand initiatives.
- Provide senior-level creative and technical input throughout production, contributing to storyboards, scripting, shot planning, edit approach, and visual design as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Studio leadership and cross-functional partners to maintain a consistent creative vision and proactively flag execution risks, missing inputs, or opportunities to strengthen the final work.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Mentor and support junior video editors through constructive feedback, technical guidance, and sharing of post-production best practices.
- Stay current on editing, motion, AI-assisted, and emerging post-production tools; recommend techniques or workflow improvements that can elevate output, speed, or consistency.
- Manage assigned editing workload with strong organization, proactive status communication, and accountability for high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple complex video projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines, priority deliverables, review rounds, and changing production needs.
- Partner with Studio production and Post Production leads to align resources, timelines, handoffs, and priorities for assigned work.
- Communicate clearly and proactively regarding edit status, technical risks, revision needs, and delivery timing; escalate scope or timeline conflicts to the appropriate Studio production owner.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Maintain advanced proficiency with industry-standard video and post-production software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Illustrator, Cinema 4D or comparable 3D tools, and Audition or Pro Tools.
- Stay current with post-production technologies, AI-assisted tools, automation, and emerging workflows; support approved pilots and integrate tools that improve efficiency without compromising quality or brand integrity.
- Ensure video content is technically optimized for required platforms and formats, including web, social, eCommerce, internal, paid media, and broadcast as applicable.
- Quality Assurance:
- Apply established Studio quality-control standards to ensure video content maintains brand consistency, creative alignment, and technical quality.
- Conduct senior-level final reviews of assigned work for creative, technical, file, platform, and delivery readiness before handoff.
- Troubleshoot complex post-production issues, recommend practical solutions, and escalate risks when resolution affects scope, timing, or resources.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Digital Filmmaking, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of professional video editing and post-production experience, with a portfolio demonstrating senior-level commercial, branded, digital, social, or entertainment content.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and related post-production tools; experience with Cinema 4D or comparable 3D tools and Audition or Pro Tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex edits from rough cut through final delivery and mentoring or providing technical guidance to other editors.
- Strong visual storytelling and creative judgment with the ability to translate approved briefs, scripts, footage, and brand direction into polished video content.
- Strong experience in color grading, motion graphics, sound design, compositing, versioning, and multi-platform delivery preferred.
- Highly organized and proactive, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, changing priorities, feedback rounds, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across Studio, Design, Brand, production, and post-production teams.
