Position Title: Digital Transformation Associate Manager

Location: Hybrid/Remote - Vila Olímpia/SP; Feira de Santana/BA; Pouso Alegre/MG; Balneário Piçarras/SC

Reporting to: Systems & Automation Manager – LATAM ERA

 

The Digital Transformation Associate Manager supports the management of digitalization and smart manufacturing roadmap across Newell Brands’ operations in Latin America.This role contributes to the deployment of digital solutions, enhances connectivity between systems and equipment, and facilitates data-driven improvements in manufacturing performance. Acting as a key link between central engineering, IT/OT, and operations. The position ensures consistent execution and adoption of digital initiatives aligned with regional and global priorities.

Job Duties

Digital & Systems Deployment

  • Support the rollout and stabilization management of digital manufacturing systems, including MES, CMMS, OT platforms, and ERP integrations. Identify and recommend digital tools, automation, AI/ML use cases and IoT solutions.
  • Coordinate with plant teams and central functions to ensure consistent implementation of digital standards and solutions.
  • Contribute to machine connectivity and data acquisition, enabling real-time visibility of operational performance (OEE).

Data & Performance Insights

  • Support the analysis of production data and key performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Monitor digital KPIs and track the progress and impact of transformation initiatives.

Project Execution Support

  • Facilitate execution of digital and automation projects by coordinating activities, tracking milestones, and supporting issue resolution. Ensure new technologies integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and systems.
  • Maintain accurate and updated project documentation (technical specifications, process flows, test protocols).
  • Interface with procurement and suppliers to support technical alignments and delivery follow-ups.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, and external partners to ensure alignment and effective execution of the global digitalization roadmap.
  • Support change adoption by assisting with communication, training coordination, and user engagement.
  • Facilitate a structured and collaborative approach to digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, IT, or related fields)
  • Previous experience in industrial environments, preferably in automation, digital manufacturing, IT or related areas
  • Exposure to manufacturing systems, process improvement and manufacturing digitalization
  • Advanced English. Spanish is desirable
  • Understanding of industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, Robotics, Industrial Networks)
  • Familiarity with MES, CMMS, Power BI and ERP systems (SAP, Datasul preferred)
  • Experience with data analysis, performance metrics and visualization tools
  • Knowledge of IT/OT, Industrial IoT, Industry 4.0 and machine connectivity concepts is desirable
  • Availability to travel approximately 40% within LATAM
