Role Summary:
The Senior Analyst role on the Amazon Sales Analytics team combines strong technical skills with business acumen. This individual will deliver ad-hoc reporting, pull and validate data from multiple sources, and partner closely with Sales to interpret insights and guide decision-making. The role requires agility in building solutions quickly while maintaining accuracy and clarity, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations for Sales leadership
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sales to identify opportunities and provide actionable insights leveraging Amazon datasets and internal tools.
- Build and maintain ad-hoc reports and dashboards in Power BI and other BI platforms to support Sales priorities.
- Perform deep-dive analyses on market share, profitability, pricing elasticity, and promotional performance.
- Support marquee events with forecasting, readiness checks, and post-event analysis.
- Validate and manage data pipelines, taxonomies, and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Brand Insights to connect analytics to business outcomes.
- Educate Sales teams on new metrics, tools, and reports; host office hours and training sessions.
- Proactively identify gaps in reporting and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and insight delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 2–4+ years in analytics or data‑driven ecommerce roles; retail/CPG experience preferred.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and strong Excel/Sheets
- Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with Amazon datasets (Brand Analytics, ARA Premium), CommerceIQ, and Circana a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Success Measures:
- Accurate, timely reports and dashboards; increased automation and reduced manual effort.
- Actionable insights adopted by partners; visible KPI improvements in focus areas.
- Demonstrated growth in technical skills (SQL, BI tools) and ability to lead complex analyses.
The base pay range for this position is from $91,450 to $111,750. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
