Position: Production Counter
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Job Class:  Factory Hourly
Location: POC Shelbyville, TN

The POC Production Counter is a line associate packaging and processing orders utilizing packaging equipment and/or display lines in a manner that meets company standards for safety, quality, productivity and accuracy.

•    Follow directions from line leader
•    Ability to inspect products and identify issues while packing
•    Pack products according to schematics or instructions
•    Verify items are packed correctly and correct amount is used
•    Wear all required safety PPE
•    Follows good manufacturing practices and required work-safe practices
•    Interact with and work well with others in various fast changing environments and situations
•    Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
•    Able to load product into basic equipment (Bagger/L-Sealer and Alloyd blister card machine)
•    Performs other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications - External

 Requirements

•    HS Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
•    Team oriented
•    Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills with strong attention to detail including speed and accuracy in counting and verification.
•    Good communication both written and verbal
•    Ability to work overtime as needed.
•    Keep pace on the production line

Essential Functions

•    Occasional lifting and moving material or objects that are average weight continuously and heavy weight material or objects frequently 
•    Move light weight objects or material overhead occasionally 
•    Bend, stretch, and reach low and high places frequently 
•    Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
•    Ability to perform standing job for 12 consecutive hours
•    Operate computer and other production equipment
•    Ascend/descend ladder
