General Function:

Responsible for Baby Gear FG Sourcing and team management to develop and execute global sourcing strategies.  This position will be an active driver and contributor of Supplier Selection, Management, Improvement as well as productivity, supply chain, and general business initiatives within the Baby Gear category.  The position will work in collaboration with ATL product team, Taipei sourcing team, and regional enterprise sourcing team to manage activities locally with suppliers.  Responsible categories will include sourced finished goods in Baby gear categories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies together with Director of Procurement Excellence that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Collaborate effectively across the broad sourcing organization to leverage buying power, maximize resource efficiency, and improve sourcing productivity.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for categories that encompass the following:
  • Select suitable supplier for sourcing projects to ensure effective planning, secure resources, and execution. Utilize project management methodologies to deliver projects on-time and within budget.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts, secure resources, monitor supplier performance, and implement supplier development programs to ensure high-quality supply chain operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and procurement practices. Implement cost reduction initiatives and track financial performance metrics.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with sourcing and supply chain operations. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Manage and mentor a team of sourcing professionals. Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance team performance and development.
• Responsible for commercial activities with designated suppliers including but not limited to the following:
  • Contract management, including price negotiations
  • New product development
  • Product / part qualification
  • RFQ execution
  • Regulatory compliance
• Sourcing process improvement initiatives as assigned
• Works well with minimal supervision in a mutually supportive, collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
• Plans, organizes, and influences the efforts of Asian suppliers as well as a variety of internal functional groups within the organization.

Job Requirements:

• Industry Experience: Over 10 years of experience in the CPG manufacturing industry or 5+ years of sourcing experience with demonstrated performance
• 5+ years of leadership experience bridging supplier/mfg functional teams to facilitate New Product Development (NPD), with internal teams in the consumer durable goods industry for major brands in North America.
• Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
• Demonstrated track record of leading teams and driving change through project management tools.
• PMP certification preferred
• FG sourcing and product development experience in baby gear products is preferred.
• Must have good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Must be highly motivated and able to drive results independently and as part of a team
• Ability to travel internationally
