Your Role

As a Facility Engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and sustainable operation of our building systems and infrastructure. From overseeing maintenance to delivering facility-related projects, you’ll support a safe, efficient, and future-ready working environment for all.

This is a hands-on, technically diverse role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a tangible difference. Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, external contractors, and internal teams, you’ll keep the facility running reliably while also identifying and driving improvements that enhance safety, energy efficiency, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and optimise building infrastructure, including HVAC, fire protection, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Project Delivery: Plan and execute facility improvement projects—from layout changes to equipment upgrades—ensuring timelines, quality, and budget targets are met.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all facility systems and operations meet relevant regulations, ISO standards, and internal safety protocols.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in energy-saving initiatives, PEAK (Operational Excellence) programs, and other innovative efforts.
• Vendor Coordination: Manage external contractors and service providers, ensuring work meets agreed standards, timelines, and safety requirements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear, accurate records of activities, inspections, supplier evaluations, and maintenance plans.
• Collaboration: Share knowledge, provide training, and act as a trusted technical resource for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

• Education: Professional Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Solid knowledge of building systems and utilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.); experience with facility project execution and maintenance planning.
• Technical Skills: Comfortable using facility management systems and MS Office; BA4/BA5 certification is a plus (or willing to obtain).

• Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).

• You: A hands-on problem-solver who can think ahead, stay organised, and balance daily operations with long-term projects. You value teamwork, clarity, continuous learning, and you are eager to help maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing facility.
