Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As a Maintenance Technician based in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, you will ensure the smooth operation and longevity of our machinery and facilities through both preventive and corrective maintenance. Your primary goal is to minimize production disruptions and maintain a safe working environment. You will work closely with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor. The team operates on a full-time, permanent basis, with shifts to ensure continuous support. We will support your growth with regular feedback and access to online training courses.

 

Purpose of the role

  • Avoiding disruptions in the production process through preventive and curative maintenance of the machinery.
  • Keep machinery in good condition to avoid shortening the lifespan of the machine and to eliminate the risk of unsafe working conditions.
  • Monitoring the condition of buildings, utilities and facilities to prevent deterioration and defects in such a way that the safety of employees and visitors is safeguarded.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Preventive maintenance on machinery
    • Carrying out preventive maintenance on the machine park based on a maintenance plan
    • Report preventive maintenance activities as prescribed
    • Drawing up preventive maintenance plans
  • Corrective maintenance on machinery
    • Detecting the cause of inefficiencies, errors, malfunctions and defects based on diagrams, drawings and/or manuals
    • Carrying out repairs, replacing (spare) parts if necessary
      • If necessary, manufacture the part yourself in anticipation of delivery of ordered parts
    • Follow-up of the installation after repair
    • Adjusting diagrams, drawings and/or manuals after repairs if applicable
    • Report corrective maintenance activities
  • Corrective maintenance on utilities
    • Detecting the cause of inefficiencies, errors, malfunctions and defects based on diagrams, drawings and/or manuals on compressed air, high voltage, heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, water, cabling ICT, security installations, security installations, emergency installations
    • Follow-up of the installation after repair
    • Adjustment of schematics, drawings and/or manuals after the repair of the utilities if applicable
    • Report corrective maintenance work

 

Setting up machines

  • Exchange tooling, check for correctness and damage
  • Adjust tooling and test run
  • Checking the quality and technical specifications of the test piece


Qualifications

  • Graduate or Bachelor in Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Automation or related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant and practical experience
  • Read drawings
  • Programming of PLCs and operator panels (Omron, Siemens, Beckhoff) is an asset
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in Dutch, English, oral
