Primary purpose of job: To provide support for the maintenance and tool room areas at the Wichita Coleman facility. Use of the Newell Brands’ Micromain, Ariba and SAP software systems to track machine downtime and the status of parts for delivery. Liaison with other process owners that tie in with the Newell Brands systems, such as purchasing, accounting, and scheduling.

 

Major job responsibilities/accountabilities

  • Track the projects initiated by Maintenance and Toolroom for day-to-day operations as well as Capital and PEAK projects.
  • Act as liaison between suppliers and all pertinent internal groups.
  • Possess a clear understanding of Assets/Functional locations within Micromain.
  • Monitor and coordinate with the Maintenance Planner/Buyer and Maintenance Leader on status of Capital AR’s.
  • Issue purchase orders and schedule delivery of parts and raw materials consistent with maintenance demands. Expedite or delay deliveries as required.
  • Work with Engineering, Maintenance and Production on training documentation and, SOP’s, troubleshooting guides and other documents as required.
  • Assist with the administration of Preventative Maintenance (PM) through the Micromain and review confirmation of maintenance tasks. This includes verification of both Demand maintenance and Preventative Maintenance templates.
  • Ensure that SEAL programs assigned to Maintenance and Toolroom are on schedule to be completed.
  • Utilize SAP’s capabilities to track incoming parts for PMs to insure they are available prior projects starting.
  • Ensure spare part requirements are generated with initial orders.
  • Work with the Maintenance Planner/Buyer to set up and enter new equipment into system.
  • Utilize the Ignition and Micromain systems to track equipment downtime and repair costs to justify upgrades or replacements.
  • Analyze and Run reports to ensure maintenance backlog, WO system and POs’ are tracking to plan.
  • Execute assigned administrative duties, special projects, tracking and reporting as required.
  • Ability to adapt to new software applications.
  • Utilize Micromain Global to update bill of materials for equipment and establish Micromain Global part numbers in cooperation with purchasing.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance and/or leadership team when equipment components need to be purchased for replacement.
  • Adhere to all Newell Brands/Site’s Safety policies and procedures.
  • All other projects as assigned by management.

 

Knowledge, experience and skill requirements

  • 2 years’ industrial maintenance experience or similar preferred.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Must have data entry experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets, Word and Outlook.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and possess good organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks as required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must possess the willingness to learn.
  • Must have a positive attitude, self-motivated and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Supports team objectives.
