Summary: Performs all aspects of general maintenance in the facility and on the grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Must be able to effectively troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems in the facility
- Basic carpentry skills required
- Works from sketches and layout prints
- Performs diagnostic trouble shooting and makes necessary repairs
- Moves, sets, erects, adjusts, dismantles, cleans, and replaces air condition, exhaust fans, air compressors
- Repairs installs, maintains, tests and replaces electrical and electronic equipment
- Dismantling defective controls and parts and installing new or rebuild parts
- Isolates circuits
- Perform required tests and initiate reports
- Replace, repair, install plumbing such as air lines, gas lines, stools, urinals, sinks, floor drains
- Observe all safety policies and procedures
- Keeps offices and grounds in order
- Supports company objectives
- Completes required reports and other documentation on assigned work and/or inspections
- Other duties as assigned
- Must maintain a neat appearance
- Must be flexible in working different shifts and be able to work a weekend schedule
- Must be able to work overtime as needed

Education and/or Experience: Trade school maintenance program or 2 year Associates degree. Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills to run reports. Must have basic carpentry experience. Must have a strong electrical and HVAC background. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions presented in English.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions presented in English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- EPA Certificate preferred
- Electrical Journeyman preferred
- HVAC Certificate preferred
- Valid Driver’s License. Cannot have more than two driving infractions within the last three years.
