Summary: Coordinate the activities of shift coordinators, industrial electricians, laborers, maintenance welders, millwrights, industrial maintenance and plumbers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Observes all Safety policies and procedures as outlined within Newell Brands’ Safety Excellence and Leadership (SEAL) program.
- Drive success through the Company’s Planning, Engagement, Awareness and Knowledge (PEAK) continuous improvement program.
- Personally responsible for upholding the Newell Brands Values and the Code of Conduct.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation to for compliance with Newell Brands’ Housekeeping standards.
- Responsible for submitting labor hours within the Micromain system.
- Directs maintenance employees to repair calls.
- Responsible for competing training team members as necessary.
- Reviews work performed by Maintenance Technicians on and keep assigned employees on task(s).
- Audit work orders for accuracy.
- Take calls, work on assigned projects and directs others
- Insures continuity across shifts by tying in with them
- Other duties as assigned by Leadership Team
Job Requirements
- Plans for interruptions in work and develops backup plans.
- May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Must be able to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises shift employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing performance with Manager. During the shift, address complaints and resolve problems. If not possible, bring issue to Maintenance Manager or Shift Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two to three years related experience in field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions presented in English.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and Standard Operating Procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Qualifications:
Coleman Internal Training
- Must complete all requirements through a level 15-5 Maintenance II position within 12 months of accepting the position.
- Will be required to take Coleman Supervisory training courses as offered.
