PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Training Coordinator oversees the training management system with primary focus in the implementation, coordination and oversight of the training program including document control. Focus areas include but not limited to Safety, Health & Environment, Quality, Production and Operations policies & procedures.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Observes all Safety policies and procedures as outlined within Newell Brands’ Safety Excellence and Leadership (SEAL) program.
- Drive success through the Company’s Planning, Engagement, Awareness and Knowledge (PEAK) continuous improvement program.
- Personally responsible for upholding the Newell Brands Values and the Code of Conduct.
- Provide constant and accurate tracking of all training of employees.
- Create training information, tests, spreadsheets and other necessary paperwork.
- Monitoring of trainees through the training process.
- Manage and maintain in-house training equipment.
- Work to develop production trainers utilizing Train the Trainer Methodology.
- Audit training programs for completion and effectiveness.
- Create and maintain quality documentation and records.
- Conduct process audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain and manage electronic and hard copy documents as per company procedures.
- Review & update documents to ensure they are complete, accurate and in compliance with standards.
- Assist with file migrations and audits, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
- All other projects as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of document management processes.
- Proficient typing and editing skills.
- Data organization and storage knowledge.
- Experience with instruction or training in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management System.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to use quality tools to meet departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
- Ability to prioritize projects consisting of varying degrees of complexity.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relations.
- Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
