The Parts Room Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of parts and supplies necessary for maintenance and operations. This role ensures timely procurement, cost-effective purchasing, and accurate inventory control to support uninterrupted facility and equipment maintenance.

                       

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement & Purchasing
    1. Source and purchase parts, tools, and materials based on maintenance and operational needs which INCLUDE, Maintenance, , PM, ASRS, and related consumables.          
    2. Obtain competitive quotes and negotiate pricing with approved venders.
    3. Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
  2. Inventory Management
    1. Maintain accurate inventory based on cycle count levels in the parts room.
    2. Maintain accurate price points within CMMS system.
  3. Vendor Relations
    1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers with Manager guidance
    2. Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
    3. Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, incorrect orders, or defective parts.
  4. Data Entry & Documentation
    1. Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and usage.
    2. Update inventory management systems and generate reports as needed.
    3. Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
  5. Support Maintenance Operations
    1. Collaborate with maintenance staff to anticipate parts needs.
    2. Respond promptly to urgent part requests to minimize downtime.
    3. Assist in identifying obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
