GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
This position plays a key role in aligning this facility with PEAK (Continuous Improvement) initiatives and will also train production and distribution employees in all aspects of operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct needs analysis for training and develop training plans for new and existing employees. Provide direct training to full time and temporary employees and manage all training activities
- Ensure strategic alignment of the training department with business objectives
- Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps, partner with internal leadership regarding employee training needs
- Manage all training schedules, testing and archive all training records
- Work to develop production and distribution trainers to ensure that operators are properly trained, qualified, and signed off to perform assigned tasks
- Work with production and distribution to focus on training associates to perform varying degrees of autonomous maintenance
- Work as a part of the PEAK group to drive Continuous Improvement initiatives in all PACS and all phases
- These responsibilities are not all-inclusive and will expand as we move forward toward the next level
- Prepare statistical metrics for management review
- Research material for future classes
- Support PEAK initatives including Training and Skills system and creation of skill matrices
- Work with Technical Training Supervisor on alignment of training needs
- Other duties as assigned
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Good understanding of troubleshooting training/critical thinking

- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during working hours.
- Knowledge of MS Office software, advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Continuous Improvement experience preferred
