Pay Range: $53-63.50 (plus shift premium if applicable)

Shift: 2-2-3 Rotating Days (6AM-6PM)

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mold Repair Technician 4 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving all molds and associated parts. This role requires a focus on safety, ensuring molds are performing, the ability to read technical drawings and work independently.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to machine molds to ensure that machines and mechanical processes continue to run smoothly, or the physical conditions of machine molds, tools, and parts does not deteriorate. 
  • Analyze and apply knowledge of old design, construction, and operation to troubleshoot malfunctions on production floor.
  • Adjust, repair, replace, fabricate, and reassemble hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and the mechanical functional parts of machine molds.
  • Set up and operate mold repair equipment and tools.
  • Diagnose faults, malfunctions, and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
  • Use computer software program to monitor and record machine statuses as well as maintain daily records of maintenance or other projects performed.
  • Other items as directed by management.

Level 4 Skills include:

  • Troubleshoot and mount proximity switches.
  • Perform Ohm’s Law calculations.
  • Rigging and overhead crane operation.
  • Ability to isolate ana analyze components from Solid Works; Basic knowledge of G code.
  • Program and machine reverse text engraving.
  • Set valve pins in Incoe, Osco, and MoldMaster valves.
  • Tig weld copper alloys.
  • Lead training classes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
  • Two or more years of mechanical or technical experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and speaking basic English.
  • Experience with injection, structural foam, or rotational plastics molding preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and indoor settings.
