The Quality Admin position is responsible for working with the Quality Manufacturing Excellence (QME) team to ensure Winchester facilities adhere to manufacturing standards in accordance with corporate guidelines. Provide quality expertise to assist manufacturing to accomplish short-term/long-term business and product quality objectives. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Administrator will provide floor support for the QA Technicians to drive actions to completion in day-to-day operations. This position is set in a fast-paced, high volume, manufacturing environment. This position has significant interaction with other Newell Rubbermaid facilities, team members in the manufacturing facility and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Support Quality Manufacturing Excellence and other Continuous Improvement (PEAK) initiatives
- Track key Quality Metrics, Root Cause, and Corrective Actions
- Write procedures and documentation that supports the PEAK System
- Train/Mentor personnel in QME/Quality procedures
- Provide quality support for ongoing manufacturing processes
- Identify and implement cost, quality and productivity improvements
- Develop and implement production quality methods and controls
- Improve the measurement of Quality for manufacturing techniques
- Gather and analyze quality information to prepare and present reports
- Assist in software documentation maintenance
- Maintain as Site Key User the HQMS document repository.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years plant/ operations experience. Associates degree with emphasis in Quality preferred.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and process skills are required
- Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment
- Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas
- MS Office software skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- High energy, self-motivated, enthusiastic, well organized
- Able to work in a team environment
- American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification in Quality arena preferred
- Demonstrated ability and working knowledge of Cpk, GR&R, Control Plans, as well as other Continuous Improvement Process tools
