In this position, you will give administrative support to the technical team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists Technical Training Supervisor / Coordinator with new hire record keeping and other daily technical activities, scheduled and not scheduled
- Put together training packets, including tests and assessments.
- Keep track of when new hire training needs to be completed and ensure that the proper assessments are handled in a timely manner. Daily discussions with training coordinator.
- Collect OPLs and scan them into the system to be logged into PEAK.
- Generate spreadsheets that may be needed by the Technical Supervisor.
- Help to update and maintain SharePoint with all training documents.
- Maintain tech employee schedule board in Supervisor’s office.
- Assist with handing out new tools and equipment, such as, locks, flashlights, multi-tools, etc.
- Prepare training materials and handouts via Adobe PDF, Word, and Excel.
- Assist Technical Training Supervisor with PEAK project.
- Assists Technical Leader with daily scheduled and not scheduled projects and work.
- Keep track of technical department employee information, such as phone #, email, start date, lock#, Skill blocks and all associated documentation.
- Keep track of completed training of all tech employees and any recertifications an employee may need.
- Save/Log Tech Reports
- Scan and File Daily Crane Inspections Reports.
- File Mold Change reports and Daily Process Monitoring Sheets.
- Hand out and Collect Machine Guarding checklists monthly, rotating by shift.
- Assists Plant Manager with daily scheduled and Not schedule Projects and Work
- Design, Prepare and put into place OT board
- Assists other Technical and Production Associates with their Daily work. Some scheduled and some not scheduled
- Assist with entering Work Orders for special projects.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skill set with proficiency in all Microsoft Suite systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- PEAK (Planning, Engagement, Achievement, Knowledge) and SEAL (Safety Excellence and Leadership) knowledge
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1-2 years of administrative assistant experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
