TITLE: Trainer B Shift (6AM-6PM)

REPORTS TO: PEAK Specialist

SUPERVISES: None

JOB CLASS: Hourly

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

The primary function of this position is to support the Departments on all PEAK and training related activities.  This position will also write and/or update procedures for existing and new equipment. Pull and analyze production data as required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must drive productivity and efficiency performance in the workstation while maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality.
  • Lead the PEAK effort in designated areas including creating and updating Production Boards, completing paperwork, and ensuring engagement of PEAK initiatives and activities.
  • Write, revise, and update work procedures, JSAs, and OPLs on new and existing equipment. Submit ECNs as needed.
  • Assist Production Analyst in pulling production data and quality information to complete Operations Reports. 
  • Create charts, graphs and other visual presentations.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean at all times and ensure 6S is being followed in the department. 
  • Maintains lean work environment and strives to eliminate waste in the workplace.
  • Proactively identifies potential safety issues and ensures no safety hazards in work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to take on various departmental tasks as deemed necessary by the manager.
  • Operates in a manner that is consistent with safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Complete accurate and timely training records for new associates.
  • Present Monthly safety training and quiz.
  • Perform Layered Process Audits.
  • System Ownership in PEAK
  • Creation and maintenance of Skills Matrix

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 12-hour period.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation skills

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:                                                                          

  • High School Diploma or GED, post-secondary education preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
