General Responsibility:

 The Distribution Data Analyst is responsible for driving operational efficiency, productivity improvement, and PEAK (Planning, Engagement, Achievement, Knowledge) implementation across Distribution and Transportation operations in Winfield, KS. This role leverages business intelligence, data analytics, and continuous improvement methodologies to identify performance gaps, reduce costs, optimize networks, and standardize processes.

Working cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, IT, Automation, and Global teams, the PEAK Analyst translates data into actionable insights, leads productivity initiatives, and builds site capability to achieve sustainable performance improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support strategic productivity and logistics optimization initiatives, including network improvements, consolidation, expansions, and transportation efficiency projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, scenario modeling, cost trending, and deep operational assessments to identify savings and service improvements.
  • Analyze distribution center layouts, labor models, equipment classification, and transportation flows to identify loss drivers and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive PEAK implementation through ownership of loss analysis, KPI governance, equipment classification, and system-based performance tracking.
  • Extract, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets; develop dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Excel, and SQL tools to enable real-time decision-making.
  • Standardized processes, reporting structures, and best practices aligned with PEAK frameworks and business objectives.
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements, including automation of manual processes and optimization of data infrastructure.
  • Partner with site leadership to define reporting needs, ensure KPI alignment, and communicate productivity results and financial impact.
  • Train and coach teams on Lean, Six Sigma, loss analysis, and continuous improvement tools; develop KPI owners as champions of performance data.
  • Support system initiatives including WMS/LMS, SAP (IM/WM), Ignition, Newell IQ, and other operational technologies.
  • Contribute to annual continuous improvement targets, including productivity improvement goals.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience leading or supporting productivity and continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with large or unstructured datasets.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL Server (or other relational databases), and MS Office tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, loss analysis, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of distribution operations, transportation modes, and DC design principles.
  • Ability to build dashboards, manage data structures, and automate reporting processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel and flex schedule as needed.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with SAP (IM/WM), WMS/LMS systems, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
  • Experience supporting automation and warehouse optimization initiatives.
