General Responsibility:

The Material Reclaim Technician ensures that regrind is delivered to machines and consumption is maximized.  Performs minor maintenance as well as some preventative maintenance activities on equipment used to reclaim material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Properly track and ensure adequate supply of regrind inventory to maximize usage.
• Proper and timely delivery and removal of regrind from molding machines.  
• Proper and timely of minor maintenance as well as preventative maintenance activities.
• Safely transport containers as needed by operating a fork lift.
• Proficient in all safety and housekeeping requirements.

• Perform other duties as required.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of six months’ stable, verifiable work history required.
• Demonstrated mechanical capability or experience in a technical related field preferred. 

• Must have working knowledge of hand and small power tools.

• Must possess basic math skills to accurately determine material needs of each machine.

• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be a good listener, having the ability to receive instructions over two-way radios, and other communication devices.
• Must be able to multi-task.

• Must be able to become certified on operating a forklift and complete PIT training successfully.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to work overtime as well as some irregular hours. This position will work in a reasonably clean production environment.  Due to working in a production environment, the exposure to noise is constant. Seasonal weather variations may result in frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions, particularly on the receiving floor and production areas where open doors allow exposure to prevailing weather conditions. Physical exertion such as pushing, pulling, kneeling or heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is frequent.
