Your Role & Team in a Nutshell
As the Finance Manager (Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis) you will lead planning and reporting activities for our DACH cluster (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). You will oversee month‑end processes, manage the cluster budget and forecasting cycle, and partner with sales and marketing to provide insight that supports profitable growth.
You will be part of a team of 5 people based in our office in Zeven and collaborate internationally with regional FP&A team.
We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the delivery of the profit and loss (P&L) from invoice to cluster margin - A&P – and direct overhead and other KPIs.
- Supervise month‑end processes, ensuring accurate journal entries and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with cluster finance, the Accounting Centre of Excellence and regional FP&A team to ensure timely postings and clear variances explanations.
- Prepare cluster reporting packs, including contributions to regional reporting and materials for the monthly business review.
- Manage the cluster budget and forecast timetable, ensuring inputs, consolidation and outputs are completed on time
- Maintain and improve the cluster budget model and support sales input accuracy.
- Monitor performance against budget and forecast and work with business partners to address gaps.
- Ensure business intelligence tools (Power BI) align with P&L results and manage customer mapping (by channel, sub-channel and salesperson).
- Lead monthly sales and gross‑margin reviews with senior commercial stakeholders and track improvement actions.
- Support business cases, reporting improvements, cost‑saving initiatives and cross‑cluster projects.
What You’ll Need
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
- Experience in commercial financial analysis in a similar role, ideally within the consumer goods sector, combined with experience leading a small team.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to interpret and explain commercial performance.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Confident user of MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
